User administration

New users can be given a login to Pozi, so that they can access more functionalities than anonymous users. The process to add new users is described below:

1) Connect to the GeoServer administration console

The URL for the console is:

http://<POZI_SERVER>/geoserver where <POZI_SERVER> is the name of the Pozi server for your site. (ex: http://pozi/geoserver )

Login as the ‘admin’ user:

2) Locate the new user form

Click on the Security > Users menu option (bottom part of the left-hand panel):

Then, click on “Add new user” link above the user list.

3) Enter new user information

In the form, type in a name and a password for the new user, and assign them the role “ROLE_RESTRICTED”:

Click ‘Save’.

4) Test the new login

In Pozi, press the “Login” button at the top left. Then, type the username and password used to create the new user:

The system should refresh the page and display additional information for this user.

Note: if there is already a logged in user, the “Login” button won’t be shown. The login information is held in a cookie – removing the cookie (Internet Explorer or Firefox) will logout the user and allow them to log back in.
